Eddie often recites poems, sometimes altered for the current circumstance. This morning, Eddie wants to go out to play, but thunderstorms are imminent so we're staying in. Eddie says
"Georgie Porgie pudding and pie
Kissed the girls and made them cry
When the boys came out to play
I want to go out to play!"
Another one from the other day:
"Fee fie fo plum
I want to eat a plum."
This Is Just To Say
ReplyDeleteI have eaten / the plums / that were in / the icebox // and which / you were probably / saving / for breakfast // Forgive me / they were delicious / so sweet / and so cold. - Wm Carlos Williams
I like Eddie's poem better; it rhymes.
